(More customer reviews)This machine doesn't have the annoying buzzer that our last machine did. It chimes. At first the dial with all the buttons was intimidating and I thought I would have to read the manual from cover to cover just to run it. However, I soon found out after turning it on how really user friendly it was. It even alarmed letting me know that it's hot water hose was crimped. Sure enough the hose was crimped and after getting it straightened out it was good to go again. It is really easy to pause the cycle too. This machine uses very little water and is very quiet so if your like me you may think something is wrong with it and sit with a flashlight looking in watching in amazement. You can really cram a lot in it and it all come out clean, and unlike top loaders it uses less soap and won't mess your bras up around a central spindle.

Seisco 22 Kw Electric Micro Boiler (75,080 Btu) for Hydronic Space Heating Review

(More customer reviews)As others have said, this company and products should be completeley avoided. We are residential builders and installed two Seisco units in a home we built. Circuit board for one unit had to be replaced within months of install.
Now a few years later the circuit boards for both units have failed and customer serivce says they will not have another circuit board to send us for a week. That means no hot water for the home and residents for a week or more. Simply unbelievable.
They do not take their business seriously it seems and when we have tried to contact David Seitz, the designer and apparent owner of the company, he has never responded. Years ago there were only a few manufacturers that made whole house electric units. Now there are many more and most of the large companies have product offerings. If you are dead set on using an electric on-demand unit our advice is to stick with a large company and prferably a known brand.
Needless to say we will never buy products from them again.

LG : LDF6920ST Fully Integrated Dishwasher - Stainless Steel Review

(More customer reviews)We bought this stainless steel dishwasher about a month ago. I loved the look and the price, along with its touted quality. After many uses, however, I am not very impressed. I hope that with a different detergent I will get better results.
Pros:
-it's pretty.
-you can put a lot of plates in it.
-it's very quiet.
-it has lots of timing options.
-it has a cool sounding ding when you press the buttons (which are hidden: an added pro).
-price, considering its appearance.
-built-in garbage disposal. (I do feel that this is somewhat misleading, since if you put your dishes in with that much food on them, the likelihood of them coming out clean is low.)
Cons:
-I have only used one detergent in it (Electrasol Advanced), but have repeated trouble with unclean dishes, even when using the power scrub setting. Granted, I am putting knives coated in peanut butter in the dishwasher, but considering the brand and price, I think this is not unreasonable. The knives generally come out streaky and I have to scrub them and rewash. Ceramic plates seem to come out fine (plastic children's ones not so much, for some reason - more caked-on PB?), but I have trouble with cutlery and anything that had food stuck to it.
-the top rack does not adjust.
-the bottom rack, when pulled out all the way (like "normal" all the way, not "on the floor" all the way), ALWAYS comes off track and you have to fight with it to get it back in the dishwasher. This is perhaps my biggest pet peeve about this dishwasher.
-when opened, the handle rests on the floor. Mildly annoying, except when your foot happens to be in its path.
-due to the poor wash quality, I almost always have to use the power scrub setting.
-it seems that the wash cycle takes FOREVER. I realize I am using the power scrub setting, but really. My old Kenmore did not take nearly as long, and cleaned better. I can't believe I am saying this about a Sears product.

Bosch ProTankless 940 ES NG Tankless Water Heater, Natural Gas (FD# 886) Review

(More customer reviews)My family just opened up a small business to stay afloat and since it's in such a crammed space we went with this tankless heater as we figured it would save us space which, indeed, it has.
It has also cost us over $400 in repair costs since it came with the control panel wired incorrectly forcing the heater to stop working after a month of operation. When the plumber contacted Bosch, Bosch realized it was the faulty control panel so they sent in another one. Unfortunately, they did not offer to pay for the labor, nor did they cover us for the expense of getting the thing working again in the first place though they have encouraged us to visit bosch.com to find the schematics on how to install the new control panel ourselves so as to avoid any additional costs. We're not plumbers.
In short, poorly manufactured heater with the customer service to back it up.

Eemax EX95TS "Thermostatic" Electric Tankless Water Heater Review

(More customer reviews)If you use a tankless water heater eventually you'll learn that they are cheap, unpredictable and will go out at a moments notice. A back up is
a necessity, I chose this one for my back up and as expected it was needed
to replace the Titan that lasted 6 months. This Eemas ex95ts worked great
for 3 weeks, and then the circuit board sparked, poofed smoke and set off
the smoke alarm. No response from their customer service. This thing didn't even last long enough to get a back up for it. Hopefully someone will make one of these that will last awhile but so far I have not found one and the Eemax certainly has been the worst I have tried so far.

(More customer reviews)The valve received was not the one ordered (and not the one shown above) The one above is a soldered version and I received the threaded version which I recall as being significantly less expensive. The soldered version would not have required any plumbing changes, but as I was having difficulty getting sufficient hot water for bathing, so I reluctantly made the changes and installed. Considering the price of the part, I would think that the right one could have been shipped. Seriously doubt that I would use this service again.

I installed an ACT-909 a year or so ago, after we had a tankless water heater installed in the 3rd floor attic. Because it was inconvenient to install at the farthest location of the new part of our house, on the 2nd floor just beyond the shower, I installed it on the first floor beneath the shower. I don't know how our plumbing is run, but the ACT-909 works well in this configuration. The shower used to take a long time to get hot. Now it's hot within 5 - 10 seconds. We are happy.
The unit is completely silent and vibration free. I haven't bothered with the timer, so I am sure we are wasting money there.
I am buying a second ACT-900 for the old part of the house which has the same long lag in receiving hot water on the first floor kitchen.

don't buy this unit but read mor for the rest of my story.
I bought and installed this unit in my new home.
It takes 20 minutes to draw water for a bath that is straight hot water only.
If you are lucky you will have very warm bath.
Definitely not a hot muscle-soaking bath.
Highest temp I have recorded in 5 years is 115 degrees with 111 about average.
Subtract the time taken to fill the tub and heating the cast iron and this is not good.
Doing dishes is a pain in the butt.
You have to have the water running all the time to keep it warm enough to clean and rinse with.
Not very eco friendly as all that good water is running down the drain.
It broke under warranty and they sent a part. But it did not make things any better.
I had an electrician take it apart and it seems the motherboard has a burned out hypoflambulator or some such thing and for $275 + sh + tax Bosch will send me a new one.
Sad news is when I bought this unit nowhere on the unit or in the manual did it mention that..........
YOU CANNOT USE THIS UNIT IF YOUR INCOMING WATER IS BELOW 60 DEGREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine is 49 degrees.
I mentioned this to the Bosch rep on the phone and basically they said it Sucks to be Me!
I have a slightly used Bosch unit for sale if any one is looking to buy one

Increased flow to pilot to the point where it will nearly heat water by itself. Continued to fail! Contractor had a Bradford White rep on site, who offered no new suggestion.
Contractor went out of business. Unit still defective. It seems to know when I'm getting into the shower.
Called Bradford White and was told to contact a local sales rep. I'm waiting for a return call!

(More customer reviews)Well I installed this product under my shower 12 inches from my tub spout. If you like a camping shower your in good stead but if your looking to luxuriate and enjoy consistent warmth and comfort better to go to the gym. Shower without any cold water mix and with the thermostat turned to max will give you 3 to 4 minutes of comfortable showering before the temp starts to drop. My guess is you may do better with a low flow shower head or a different wife. Put me in the one sad category and look for it soon to be available on some selling site. We tried and we say Nancy Reagan was right just say NO!

(More customer reviews)This "hot" water heater came with the house we bought. The problem is the water looses heat, rapidly. In fact the water is instantly ice cold without warning(dangerous for Grandmothers). It is less than five years old. The plumber has been to our house a couple times to look at it; as did the previous owners. The last time he was on the phone with Takagi's tech support and they both could not trouble shoot the problem. Everything tech support suggested was checked and the result was; no reason for the cold water problem. The fact is we're wasting more cold water down the drain than saving by having the "on demand" water heater. With the service calls, we're installing a tank water heater. I honestly don't think Takagi could get me to install another of their products in my house, even if it were free. Every bath, shower, laundry load and dish washer load shouldn't be an uphill battle.

(More customer reviews)These seem to be a well built water heater with the only problem being the temperature rise per GPM is grossly overstated. These are rated as a 25KW heater buy their maker, Vanward of China. This means they have about an 85000 BTU input with a 75000 BTU output. What this means is they actually will only give you 3.3 GPM at a 45° rise.
I would not recommend these for anyone needing to run more then one faucet at a time and would not recommend them for anyone living in colder climate.
These are priced right and the direct venting is a plus, it is unfortunate they are being misrepresented.

My water bills have gone up. It's very frustrating waiting and waiting to get hot water. The unit is noisy and can be heard on the upper level of my house. The hot water sometimes turns cold and I'm told this is common with Noritz heaters. It exhausts into the backyard and nearby windows cannot be opened because of the toxic fumes. I plan on having it replaced soon.

(More customer reviews)We have had the hydroignition Bosch 125 Natural Gas Tankless for a year and a half now. It is absolutely incredible. I have checked our gas bill each month for the first year and the minimum we have saved (gas usage, not gas bill) is 22% each month! We have used as much as 77% less gas than the same month the previous year. Unlimited hot water on demand! No drawbacks. Plus, it uses a small space compared to the dinosaur tank water heater we had before. It fits attached to a stud where it's out of the way!!!! I would NEVER go back to the traditional tank water heater. Temperature control is extremely simple. Don't let unknowledgeable plumbers steer you astray with ridiculous things like "the water doesn't get hot" UNTRUE!!!!! Those plumbers just don't know and don't care to know and are stuck in the plumbing dark ages. This is the only way to go. Bosch stands behind this product.

Rheem RTG-74PVN Indoor Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater for 2-3 Bathroom Homes Review

(More customer reviews)As a service provider, here was a recent and typical service call on a 74 model. the customer lives 1 1/4 hr away, call Sat with an error code 11. this had been in service for 3 months and worked fine, then quite. Rheem requires as a service provider, that I call in, get a case number and proceed from there. They are available Sat for tech support but good luck waiting on the phone. I came back Monday, trip number two, talked through two levels of tech support. I didn't agree with their assessment and they sent an ignition module. Wed, trip three, I installed the part and it. I tried to explain, it was most likely a control board and gas valve combined problem and the tech, she didn't think so. after 9 commbined hors of driving and attempts at service, the customer was left with a still non functioning water heater. I've been working on these for about 30 years but when I have to work according to their at a distance analysis, reading a prompter, service fails. They do not have a system of regional parts available and are not willing to allow me to purchase and stock these.
so if you are considering purchasing a tankless water heater, a little due diligence with regards to service will save an enormous amount of heartburn...
Paloma and Rheem need to create a service network that supports those in the field who will be performing warranty work. Until that day arrives, I do not recommend these...
