(More customer reviews)I am a general contractor and have used an on-demand tankless water heater in my 3200 square foot home since I built it in 1984, when few people in the US had tankless water heaters. That first LP heater served my family well, but it required a pilot light that was always on and it used a rubber diaphragm to turn the heater on. The diaphragm had to be replaced every three or four years. That heater was made in the UK and getting repair parts and someone who could do the repairs was problematic. About three years ago, I replaced it with a Takagi T-K Jr-LP Liquid Propane Flash Liquid Propane Compact Tan. It uses a different sensing method and it ignites using an electronic starter. Installation was fairly simple for me, so I did the ventilation, plumbing, and electrical work myself. The only complication was the addition of a 115 VAC outlet to the heater closet because the Takagi T-K Jr LP requires an electrical hookup to power its computerized controller. The heater also must be properly vented to outside air, so, to meet building code where I live, I also had to buy and install a stainless steel vent through the roof. The venting materials can cost almost as much as the heater depending on where the heater is installed. NOTE: More than likely, you should hire a licensed contractor to do the installation to ensure that the job is done correctly (according to code requirements where it is to be used) and for safety. The Takagi T-K Jr was definitely a very good buy and I have confidently recommended it to my friends and will continue to do so.

Excel 110v Compact Portable Clothes Tumble Dryer Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great little dryer for small spaces. You don't need a vent for this little electric dryer, but it does need to be about 4 inches away from the wall for the hot air exhaust to function properly. The dryer isn't really noisy but it does sound like an AC running; after a while it fades into background noise. There are only two settings: Soft and Normal. These functions adjust the heat setting. The dryer also uses a timer setting like a toaster oven and ranges from 10-160 min. of dry time. The drum is small and the manual recommends only 2.8 lbs of clothes. This is about the equivalent of two towels or a change of clothes. I gave this a three stars rating because the dryer setting is not as hot which means you may have to run it a little longer for desired results. Also the door reminds me of doll house plastic; it's flimsy so be careful with it, and sometimes annoying when trying to close. I also gave it three stars because the price could have been a little lower based on its performance. None of these things are major problems but it is enough to lower the rating. It's about the size of a 19" TV (not a digital flat screen...think older model). It can be wall mounted with brackets but you'll have to purchase those because they aren't included. The outside stays cool to the touch. Overall, for such a small dryer it does a decent job.

(More customer reviews)I may be wrong on the Information on this I Am Not a Plumber, This pressure relief valve may work just fine but here Is what the deal Is, I have been complaining for years to make things universal, My Water heater I think has a 3/4 Inch connection the first valve I ordered has a 5/8 Inch shank so I ordered another with a different model number and It said 3/4 Inch enough that I thought It would have a 3/4 Inch shank but It has a 5/8 Inch shank too so rather than taking a risk mail order I now have to go to Lowes to get It.

Positives:
- Battery backup and LED readout functionality of sensors including daisy-chained second sensor functioned as per advertising and sensor appears to be corrosion resistant material.
- Battery insertion and general packaging design is aesthetically pleasing and sufficiently robust.
Negatives:
- Upon sounding the alarm, the amplitude produced is lower than expected. It emits a steady tone which is nowhere near that which is produced by a typical smoke detector. If you plan to use this in a larger house or with fairly high ambient noise you should look further. For example, I don't believe it will be possible to hear it from outside my house so
-Product instructions do not show how to connect the power plug from the a.c. adapter brick. There three connectors on the device. After plugging in the sensor into the female jack, the user can't tell which of the two remaining male jacks to plug the plug from the a.c. adapter brick. You must go to their website to discover which jack to plug the power plug in to. One wonders what happens if one had been impatient and chosen the wrong one. If in that case, one inserted into the the wrong jack and it caused either mechanical or electrical damage to the device, this could have serious ramifications.
- Upon visiting their website, you will discover that the mystery jack is for a non-existent user interface accessory (output) which could be used for the hearing impaired, etc. Unfortunately, apparently they don't sell any user interface accessory nor is there any information about the circuitry in the event one wishes to design their own.
All in all, I can only give this product a two star rating in consideration of the price paid and shortcomings noted however I will keep it in spite of these issues.

(More customer reviews)032711 - At the moment, we're in the process of running new pipes to the new water heater location. The water heater looks like a very serious piece of hardware. Plumbers in the area use it so, we'll see how it does. So far very impressive looking unit.
040111 - A work of art. We had to work on the existing plumbing system and upgrade to make it as stream line as possible to help maximize the hot water input. The unit delivers hot water in seconds without any problems.
We did not add the indoor control panel, however. Once the unit is set to factory specs, it more than meet requirements. Of course, its up to the owner to dictate what's sufficient, if necessary it will be set to meet client's expectations.

I tested the unit and it seems to be quite sensitive to the presence of event small amounts of moisture. The sound level is more than adequate. Installation couldn't be simpler. Just insert a 9-volt alkaline battery and place the unit on the floor adjacent to the water heater. The four pins that extend from the bottom of the case are made of stainless steel. The battery should be replaced annually.
